    Green Iron Metal Project

Nestled in the heart of Western Australia’s Pilbara is our Green Metal Project, which is expected to produce more than 1,500 tonnes per annum of green metal, with first production anticipated in 2025. The project is located at our Green Energy Hub at Christmas Creek, and will help ensure Fortescue is ahead of the pack, by developing the technologies and processes to produce green metal.

In Brazil, Fortescue intends to develop a green hydrogen project at the Industrial and Port Complex of Pecém, Ceará. The project will have a production capacity of 168,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per annum (tpa) and will contribute to the decarbonization ambitions of Brazil and the world. Green hydrogen could be a vector for Brazil's green neo-industrialisation, working as the basis for a new production structure, which will also include segments such as mining and green steel, e-fuels and fertilizers, among others.

Forged for tomorrow.
