Today, our operations rely heavily on diesel transported thousands of kilometres across the Pilbara. It is one of the biggest costs and risks in our system.

Electrification changes the equation. It improves energy security, reduces exposure to fuel price shocks and lowers long-term operating costs.It turns energy from a cost we don’t control into power we do.
By 2030, we will have removed more than 800 diesel-powered assets and stopped burning almost one billion litres of diesel every year.
That’s close to $1 billion in annual operating cost savings.
