Our Opportunity

Work Location: Eliwana -  Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people. 

 

Roster: 4D/3R - FIFO ex Perth – Full Time 

 

Eliwana’s Sustaining Capital Projects team is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Project Specialist to ensure safe and efficient delivery of on-site brownfields projects.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of small to mid-scale Electrical projects from concept through to execution in line with the Fortescue Project Delivery framework. 
  • Lead all Electrical related designs, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and close out requirements. 
  • Responsible for all Electrical discipline Variations/TQs/RFI’s and actions. 
  • Attend and signoff FAT and witness testing activities. 
  • Ensure all electrical construction and commissioning requirements meet functionality and compliance. Be responsible for all QA/QC works including signing off test sheets, ITPs and ITRs to ensure construction verification. 
  • Act as the electrical interface between designers, maintenance and operations, construction contractors, and other key stakeholders to develop solutions and support successful project delivery.  

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five years' experience in the resources industry across process and non-process infrastructure assets. A background in projects and construction will be highly regarded.  
  • Demonstrated experience working with power systems, VSDs, protection relays, PLCs, motor controllers (i.e Siemens SIMOCODE) and various instrumentations (ideal). 
  • Proficient with Design software (i.e AutoCAD, DAD). 
  • Experience with commissioning, plant ramp-up and troubleshooting. 
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of SAP.
